Introducing Bandosnatch

After 9 months of development hell, I have finally compiled a playable build of my first game.

I'm new to game development, and spent my career working in fastfood places and shops. I had decided to become a game dev at 14, but life got in my way. Here I am, 25 years later - and I'm finally able to release something resembling a game! I've gone through homelessness, addiction, mental health crises and more - but I've finally found something I enjoy doing.

Dope Wars - Bandosnatch is inspired by the 1984 MSDOS game Drug Wars. This later became known as "Dope Wars" - which was the version which got me hooked. Friends would exchange floppy disks with copies of the game buried within the files so teachers couldn't find it.  It's now 2023 though, and the world's moved on from floppy disks. So I moved the game on too...

You'll see the game now features a completely different visual experience, allowing the player to interact with the game through a simulated mobile phone device. Use apps to navigate the seedy world, make money and survive the month.

I'm working on some other game concepts - as most solo devs do - but Bandosnatch is my baby! I'll be updating the game regularly. I'm self taught, so as I learn something new, it'll be included as an update. I'm only just starting!
